Details
Included in the kit price is our own Sullivan 125oz tank, a set of standard round wing tips as well as a set of tip tanks, a full set of sullivan 4/40 pushrods, horns and Gold-N-Clevis pack.
It is suitable for turbines such as JetCat P120 or P160 (and yet will fly well on a P80). Torus has the familiar Boomerang low speed ability and sweet handling that you've come to expect, but also has a high speed performance that is on the edge of scary.
Easy access to all control systems is achieved as in all Boomerang Jets by a full length hatch top of the fuselage. Build time is very short as the entire fuselage and center section comes in one beautiful composite moulding, as do the booms. Part of the stunning performance comes from the remarkably light but incredibly strong wing structure, tested to stand enormous "G" loads during maneuvers.
Pro-Link Retract Package
Our Torus struts where developed from the ground up and feature a brushed anodized finish, steel axle with locking nut, over-sized machined shoulder bolt and a unique offset adjustment screw allowing you to adjust the strut offset thus, providing the ability for the the user to center the wheel perfectly in the wheel well. There is no need to shim, bush, drill or machine your struts & axles in order to make them “fit”. There is also no more fear of wheels flying off during take-off or landings with the bullet-proof axle design. Although suited for grass field ops, our Trailing Link gear design proves to be invaluable for those occasional not-so-perfect landings on the tarmac as well.
The Taurus Narrow series Machined T-6 aluminum retracts feature oversized high quality leak free cylinders, brass t-bar slider and heavy duty machined trunions with 1/2" clamp lock strut mounting make the Pro-Link series retracts the strongest, most reliable retracts on the market.
Our Pro-Link "Torus" Standard combo includes:
- Pro-Link Torus Trailing Link Main Struts
- Pro-Link Large Trailing Link Nose Strut
- Pro-Link Taurus Narrow Series Machined Retract Set

The History behind Boomerang Jets
First designed by Alan Cardash in 2001, the original design for the Boomerang jet was to be a slower flying model than the currently available jet trainers, yet large enough to be easily seen in the air. It had to take off and land from a rough grass runway, and it had to be fun to fly.
From basic drawings to finished design, test flights and major flying events throughout the world, Boomerang has shown that this jet is capable of everything he set out to achieve.
The result has by far exceeded the original concept. This twin boom model, eight feet long with an eight feet wing span, is quite exceptional. The construction is conventional balsa, ply and light ply, with obeche skinned wings, and although it’s big, it disassembles easily to fit into a car. In flight, it feels like a cross between a trainer and a pattern plane.
Boomerang, the first jet trainer that can be powered by any 12 to 27lb thrust turbine. The prototype used a JetCat P80 and, later, a JetCat P120, Many owners use even more power but it can take off - and fly beautifully with a JetCat P60, or similar small turbine.
Capable of advanced aerobatics - including spins, snap rolls, knife-edge flight, tumbles, airborne motor shutdown and restart (with an auto-start turbine) - this aircraft has a slow speed performance that has to be seen to be believe and a fair turn of speed when flat out. Later versions were fitted with retracts and brakes, of course.
At the British Nationals in 2002, Boomerang won the prestigious Windsock Trophy Shield for the best flight of the day on the public display line. And at Florida Jets 2002, it won yet another exceptional performance award. Ali Machinchy, the outstanding UK pilot, flew it on both occasions.
Now the big version of Boomerang has taken a big step forward in kit terms. A complete redesign. The new ARF kit is totally new in every respect except for the amazing flying characteristics, which have always the most important aspect of every Boomerang design.
